Register and manage the card readers you charge in-person checkouts on.
A terminal is a card reader registered to your merchant account. Register it with its serial number and hardware type, wait for validation, then charge a checkout on it by sending its terminalId to Charge Checkout. Terminal IDs start with TL-. Check that the terminal is connected before you charge on it.

|---|---|
PENDING_VALIDATION | Registered or re-enabled, and being validated with your processor. |
ACTIVE | Validated. You can charge checkouts on it. |
INVALID | Validation failed. Confirm the device is set up for your account, then enable it to validate it again. If the serial number was wrong, disable it and register the correct one. |
DISABLED | You disabled it. Enable it to validate it again. |
Registering and editing a terminal needs the Merchant Write permission; enabling and disabling it needs Merchant Approver. See POS Terminals.
